To my dearest, beautiful mum - 

my girl, my world, my everything,

Thank you for being the best mum I could have ever asked for - even from when I was a little girl we shared a bond, a closeness, the strongest love possible- you were always there for me mum, I hope you felt I was always there for you.

The wonderful times we spent together making memories - memories that will live on with me forever- the hours we spent reminiscing over your childhood, stories you would tell me about your antics with Dad - you sat on the sofa, me at the other end while dad trying to watch the telly as we nattered on will be an image that will never fade. 

People always commented how much we looked alike - remember that man saying we had the same face? We both laughed! I hope I also have the same bravery, the same strength, the same determination and the same kind, loving and caring traits you had mum. 

The past 11 months showed what a fighter you were, you went through so much mum, but still held onto your dignity, your integrity, your proudness - still wanting to do things your way! You made sure of that mum! 

There are no words to describe how proud I am to be your daughter and that I got to call you my mum - for now though mum, it’s time for you to go on your journey and for me to go on mine, but we will never be separated as I know that you will always be by my side and that brings me comfort.

I promise to look after dad - making sure he looks after himself and his shirts are ironed like you showed me.

I miss your voice, your touch, your smell, your cuddles - I miss you mum yesterday, today and tomorrow forever.  Remember to meet me when it’s my turn, but for now it’s ok for you to party without me.

Until we meet again my beautiful mum, I will love you for eternity (those do not die on the lips of the living).
